49th Annual Juried University of Wyoming Student Exhibition

The 49th Annual Juried University of Wyoming Student Exhibition is a highlight of the University of Wyoming Art Museum's exhibition program, presenting artwork from selected University of Wyoming students. The 2024 exhibition is juried by Joy L. Armstrong, Director and Curator of the Galleries of Contemporary Art (GOCA) at the University of Colorado in Colorado Springs. The student exhibition provides a professional development opportunity for students to present their work in a museum setting.

Eligible participants include any undergraduate, graduate, or post-doctoral student attending any college or outreach school in the University of Wyoming system, including in-state students in the Distance Learning Program. Students must be registered in classes during the spring 2024 semester to be eligible for awards. A maximum of three works per student may be submitted for consideration. Original artwork including paintings, drawings, prints, photography, sculpture, graphic design, ceramics, mixed media, or video may be submitted. Two-dimensional works must be ready to hang prior to submission (matted and framed under glass or Plexiglas where appropriate). All three-dimensional works must be stable, with pedestals provided by the UW Art Museum. All works must specify a price or be listed as Not for Sale (NFS), and an additional insurance value must be provided.

Works not selected for the museum exhibition will be presented in a Salon des Refusés organized by the Student Art League. Scholarship and purchase awards will be announced during the opening reception on Saturday, February 24, at 6:30 pm. The exhibition will be on view at the University of Wyoming Art Museum from February 24 through May 11, 2024. Accepted artwork drop-off dates are February 1-2, 10am-4pm.
