47th Annual Whitewater Valley Art Competition

The 47th Annual Whitewater Valley Art Competition is open to artists 18 years or older who reside in the United States. All work must be original and cannot have been exhibited in previous Whitewater Valley Art Competitions. Artists may submit up to 3 separate art pieces, with the option to submit three different views of each piece. All visual art mediums are allowed except video and sound, including paintings, drawings, printmaking, digital artworks, photographs, ceramics, jewelry, sculpture, textiles, installation, and mixed media.

The entry fee is $35 for up to 3 entries, and entry fees are non-refundable. Submissions are made via www.callforentry.org with a deadline of September 7, 2025 at 11:59 p.m. MDT. Entry fees can be paid by calling the campus Bursar's Office at (765) 973-8345 Monday through Friday between 9 a.m. – 11 a.m. and 1 p.m. – 4 p.m., or by personal check, cashier's check, or money order sent to Indiana University East, c/o Carrie Longley, Campus Art Director, 2325 Chester Blvd., Richmond, IN 47374, Attn: WVAC.

Prerecorded juried rounds will be shared on Facebook Live on September 18, 2025 from 10 a.m. – 12:30 p.m., with breaks allowing time for live questions from the audience. Accepted entries must be postmarked or received by September 26, 2025 at 5 p.m., or hand delivered to the Tom Thomas Gallery September 29 – October 1 from 10 a.m. – 2 p.m. The artist's reception and awards presentation will be held October 10, 2025 from 6 p.m. – 8 p.m. at the Tom Thomas Gallery. The Whitewater Valley Art Exhibit will run October 10 – December 12 in the Tom Thomas Gallery and Meijer Artway. Artwork will be collected or shipped back to artists December 15 – 17 from 10 a.m. – 2 p.m. with return shipping labels provided.
