47th Annual Rocky Mountain National Watermedia Exhibition

The Rocky Mountain National Watermedia (RMNW) exhibition, in its 47th year, is presented by Center for the Arts Evergreen (CAE) in Evergreen, Colorado. RMNW attracts entrants and jurors from throughout the United States and is regarded as one of the top watermedia exhibitions in the country. In 2020, RMNW will be partially supported by a Challenge America grant from the National Endowment for the Arts.

The 2020 juror is internationally acclaimed painter Linda Daly Baker AWS-df, NWS, from Charleston, SC. Baker is a representational watercolor artist and Signature Member of 8 watermedia societies. Her work has been featured in American Artist, The Artist Magazine, L'Aquarelle, The Watercolor Magazine, and the Splash series. She has consistently won awards in national and international exhibits since 2002, and her work was included in the 2012 Shanghai Biennial and the 2013 Shenzhen Biennial in China. Linda Baker will offer a Master Workshop at CAE July 27–30, 2020.

Eligibility is open to all artists residing in the United States. Each artist may enter up to 3 paintings for consideration; accepted artists will have only 1 original painting displayed in the exhibition. Paintings must be produced in an aqueous medium and may not be computer-generated works, reproductions, or Giclee prints. Artworks must have been painted in the last two years and may not have been shown previously in any exhibition at CAE or a previous RMNW exhibition. Minimum image size is 8" x 10"; maximum frame size is 40" x 60". No glass is permitted; plexiglass only. Entry fee is $40.00 for 2 images or $50.00 for 3 images. All shipped artwork will be charged a $25 handling fee. All paintings must be available for sale during the exhibition; CAE retains a 40% commission on all art sales. In 2019, awards totaled over $10,000 in cash and merchandise to exhibition artists. Exhibition dates are September 11–October 24, 2020. Juror selections will be announced June 22, 2020.
