46th Annual Whitewater Valley Art Competition

The 46th Annual Whitewater Valley Art Competition is open to artists 18 years or older who reside in Indiana or adjacent states of Ohio, Kentucky, Illinois, or Michigan. All work must be original by the submitting artist and cannot have been exhibited in previous Whitewater Valley Art Competitions. Artists may submit up to 3 separate art pieces, with the option to submit three different views of each piece. All visual art mediums are allowed except video and sound, including paintings, drawings, printmaking, digital artworks, photographs, ceramics, jewelry, sculpture, textiles, installation, and mixed media.

The entry fee is $35 for up to 3 entries. Entry fees can be paid by calling the campus Bursar's Office at (765) 973-8345 Monday through Friday between 9am–11am and 1pm–4pm, or by personal check, cashier's check, or money order sent to: Indiana University East, c/o Carrie Longley, Campus Art Director, 2325 Chester Blvd., Richmond, IN 47374, Attn: WVAC. Artwork submissions are due by September 11, 2024 at 11:59 p.m. MDT via www.callforentry.org. Accepted entries must be postmarked or received by September 27, 2024, or hand delivered to the Tom Thomas Gallery between September 30–October 2, 10am–2pm.

Juried rounds will be held September 20, 2024, 10am–12:30pm and shared on Facebook Live with time for live audience questions. The artist's reception and awards presentation is Friday, October 11, 6–8 pm at the Tom Thomas Gallery. The Whitewater Valley Art Exhibit runs October 11–December 13 in the Tom Thomas Gallery and Meijer Artway.
