46th Annual Open Juried Show

The Ridgewood Art Institute presents its 46th Annual Open Juried Show, running March 1–22, 2026 at the Ridgewood Art Institute in New Jersey.

This exhibition is open to all artists 18 years and older. Submissions must be traditional realism, two-dimensional work only (no sculpture, photography, digital art, or crafts). Artists may submit a maximum of 2 entries, though only one painting may be accepted. Artwork must not exceed 44 inches at the longest dimension, including frame, and must have been completed within the last 3 years. Work previously exhibited at RAI Juried Shows is not eligible. All submissions must be original work conceived and self-painted by the artist—no class work, workshop pieces, copies of others' work, or AI-generated art. Artwork must be framed (no strip molding), properly wired, and ready for hanging. Watercolor, pastel, pencil, and ink works must be framed and under glass or Plexiglas. Works over 20" x 30" must be under Plexiglas.

Shipped artwork requires a $25 handling fee before it can be hung; this fee is waived if the work is shipped in a commercially manufactured strong box (such as StrongBox by Airfloat Systems or Masterpak). A pre-paid return shipping label must be included. No packing peanuts or loose packing material are permitted. Strong boxes will be returned to the artist at the end of the show at the artist's expense. Entries accepted into the exhibition must remain through the end of the show. Submit high-quality JPEG image files at least 1500 pixels on the longest edge, with a maximum file size of 30 MB.
