45th Open Division

This exhibition is open to members of any IAPS member society. The exhibition features the theme "Three Hearts, One Purpose" by Nadine McCluskey.

Artwork must be in dry pastel with no oil pastels. Mixed media must be predominantly dry pastel, with the top layer of the painting at least 80% dry application of pastel. Work must be original and not copied from other artists or published materials. All artwork must be originally drawn and not created on top of any type of photographic image. Work done in a classroom or workshop scenario is ineligible. Paintings of nudes will be considered for acceptance. Work may not have been accepted in any previous IAPS Exhibitions (this does not include IAPS Member Society shows). Work may be for sale or marked NFS.

Awards include: Best in Show ($2,000), First Place in Honor of Urania Christy Tarbet ($1,000), Second Place in Honor of Maggie Price ($600), Third Place ($400), and four Awards of Merit ($200 each). Submit original, high-quality JPEG image files at least 1500 pixels on the longest edge with a maximum file size of 30 MB. Crop images to include only the artwork itself without matting, frames, or background. Ensure images are oriented correctly. Entry fees are not refundable and must be submitted and paid by the entry deadline of September 4, 2024. Entries cannot be accepted or changed after the deadline.
