45th Annual National Juried Art Show

The Arts Council of Wayne County is accepting submissions for the 45th Annual National Juried Art Show. Selected pieces will be exhibited at 139 W. Walnut St. in Goldsboro, NC, from November 1-29, 2024, with an opening reception on November 1, 6-8 PM.

Eligibility is open to all artists 18 years and older. Acceptable media include drawings, paintings, graphics, sculptures, ceramics, textiles, mixed media, and photography. Original works must not have been previously shown as part of the Arts Council of Wayne County Annual Juried Art Show and must have been executed within the last two years. No piece may exceed 48 inches in any direction. Submissions are judged digitally through callforentry.org, with 1-4 images required. Entry fee is $40 (non-refundable). All accepted art must remain for the duration of the exhibition and must be for sale; the Arts Council will retain a 35% commission on purchases.

Prizes include $1,000 for Best in Show, $500 for Second Prize, $250 for Third Prize, $100 for Best in Wayne County, and $100 for People's Choice Award. Honorable mentions will be awarded at the juror's discretion. The juror is Sheherazade Thenard, an Afro-Caribbean artist based in Miami, FL, who graduated from the University of Central Florida with an MFA in 2022. Notifications to artists will be sent September 27, 2024. Deadline to receive all accepted art is October 26, 2024. Art pick-up and mail-out will occur November 30 and December 3-4, 2024.
