45th Annual Michigan Fine Arts Competition

The Birmingham Bloomfield Art Center invites artists 18 and older living and working in Michigan, Ohio, Indiana, Illinois, and Wisconsin to submit original works in all media (except video or canvas/gallery-wrapped copies) created and/or finished after January 1, 2025. Works must not have been previously exhibited at the BBAC.

Artists may submit up to two entries for a $40 non-refundable fee (covers one or both entries). Submit one image per work through the online application at www.CallForEntry.org. Images should not include the artist's name or borders. For 3D work, images must show all components intended for display. Provide specific media details (e.g., oil on panel, mixed media – clay, wood & found objects). The juror is Marshall N. Price, Ph.D., Chief Curator and Nancy A. Nasher and David J. Haemisegger Curator of Modern and Contemporary Art at the Nasher Museum of Art at Duke University.

Accepted artwork will be displayed at the BBAC from June 19 through August 13, 2026. Intake of accepted artwork is June 8-12, 10 AM–4 PM. All 2D work must be properly wired for hanging with wire or D-rings. Artwork must be available for the entire exhibition and may not be removed prior to closing. Maximum height is 9 feet. The BBAC retains a 45% commission on all sales. Artists wishing to insure work should contact their insurance agents directly. Work not picked up by 4 PM August 15 will incur late charges of $10/day.
