45th Annual Adirondacks National Exhibition of American Watercolors

The Adirondacks National Exhibition of American Watercolors is hosted annually by View Arts Center in Old Forge, NY. The 45th annual exhibition will be open August 7 - September 27, 2026, in View's 3 largest galleries. The exhibition is open to all artists working in water-based media, including transparent and opaque watercolors, casein, egg tempera, gouache, acrylic, and ink.

Eligibility requirements: All works must be comprised of 90% water media. Collage and prints are not eligible. All entries must be of original design and personal execution created within the past 2 years. Artwork previously shown at View is not eligible.

Entry fee is $35 for one work, with an additional $10 per image for up to 3 total works. Artists may submit 1-6 images. Selection notification will be sent by May 8, 2026. Selected paintings must be received at View no later than May 29, 2026. View receives 35% commission on any sales made during or resulting from the exhibition. Selected artwork must be suitably framed and ready for installation. All shipping is at the expense of the artist, with a $10 handling fee per package. Award notification will be sent July 5, 2026, with the opening reception and awards ceremony on August 7, 2026.
