44th Annual Open Photography Exhibition

This exhibition is open to non-members only. Artists may submit two works, and only work not previously shown at Salmagundi will be accepted. Outside dimensions of frames may not exceed 36". All works must be professionally framed with wire for hanging, or if framing is not applicable, must be professionally presentable for exhibiting in a gallery space with appropriate mounting to hang or display. If displaying artwork under glass, plexi-glass is suggested to avoid breakage. Accepted work must remain in place for the duration of the exhibition.

Submissions must include high-quality JPEG image files at least 1900 pixels on the longest edge with a maximum file size of 30 MB. Images should be cropped to show only the artwork itself without matting, frames, or background distractions, and must be oriented correctly. Artists are responsible for submitting images with accurate representation of their unframed and framed work. Submissions not adhering to exhibition requirements will be omitted, and the Art Committee's decision regarding placement and installation is final.

If accepted, artists may deliver work in-person during receiving days or ship with an expected arrival date of one week before the exhibition opens. Artists shipping work must include a prepaid return shipping label. Hangtags from the acceptance email must be printed, filled out legibly, and attached to each artwork before delivery. The club receives 30% of all sales, with 70% going to the artist. Works marked "NFS" (not for sale) will not be listed on the website during the exhibition but will be archived indefinitely afterward. Acceptance/rejection emails will be sent from ShowSubmit.
