44th Annual Open Painting, Sculpture & Graphics Exhibition

This exhibition is open to non-members only. Artists may submit two works that have not been previously shown at Salmagundi. Only work not previously exhibited at the venue will be accepted.

Artwork Requirements: Outside dimensions of frames may not exceed 36 inches. Sculptures should be no more than 30 inches high and no more than 40 pounds. All works must be professionally framed with wire for hanging. If framing is not applicable, work must be professionally presentable for gallery display with appropriate mounting. If displaying artwork under glass, plexi-glass is suggested to avoid breakage. The Salmagundi Club is not responsible for broken glass damage. Accepted work must remain in place for the duration of the exhibition.

Submission Details: Submit original, high-quality JPEG image files at least 1900 pixels on the longest edge with a maximum file size of 30 MB. Crop images to show only the artwork without matting, frames, or background. Ensure images are oriented correctly and use sRGB color profile for best results. Artists are responsible for submitting images with accurate representation of their unframed and framed work. Submissions not adhering to exhibition requirements will be omitted. The Art Committee's decision regarding placement and installation is final.

Acceptance and Delivery: Acceptance/Rejection emails will be sent from ShowSubmit. If accepted, artists may deliver work in-person during receiving days or ship work with an expected arrival date of one week before the exhibition opens. Shipped work must include a prepaid return shipping label and be sent in reusable shipping boxes with the exhibition name on the outside. Hangtags from the acceptance email must be printed, filled out legibly, and attached to each artwork before delivery. If work is not for sale, write "NFS" on the hangtag.

Sales: The club receives 30% of all sales; 70% goes to the artist. Artists will be notified when a sale is made. During the exhibition, the online catalog functions as an online store for available artworks. Not-for-sale works will not be listed on the website during the exhibition but will be archived indefinitely after it ends.
