44th Annual National Juried Art Show

The Arts Council of Wayne County is accepting submissions for the 44th Annual National Juried Art Show. Selected pieces will be exhibited at the new gallery and facilities at 139 W. Walnut St. in Goldsboro, NC, from November 3-December 1, 2023. The opening reception is November 3, 2023, 6-8 PM.

Entry fee is $40 (non-refundable) for up to 4 works. Submissions are judged digitally through callforentry.org. Acceptable media include drawings, paintings, graphics, sculptures, ceramics, textiles, mixed media, and photography. This call is open to all artists 18 years and older. All art must remain on display for the duration of the exhibition and must be for sale; the Arts Council will retain a 35% commission on purchases.

Prizes totaling $1,950 will be awarded based on merit regardless of media: $1,000 Best In Show, $500 Second Prize, $250 Third Prize, $100 Best In Wayne County, and $100 People's Choice Award. Honorable mentions will be awarded at the juror's discretion. The juror is Jean-Claude Rasch, a Colombian-American multi-media artist and Young Artist Gallery Curator for CityArts in Downtown Orlando. Notifications to artists will be sent September 22, 2023. Accepted art must be received by October 20, 2023. Art pick-up and mail-out dates are December 2, 4, and 5, 2023.
