43rd Annual Western Spirit Juried Art Show & Sale

The Western Spirit Juried Art Show & Sale (WSJASS) is the premier annual juried art show in the Rocky Mountain region for new and emerging artists who create original western art depicting the American West. The show runs March 2 – April 14, 2024, with the opening reception and award show on March 2, 2024 at 6:00pm.

Accepted media categories include Acrylic, Drawing, Mixed-Media (including digital drawings), Oil, Pastel, Photography, Printmaking, Sculpture, and Watercolor. All artwork is selected by an independent jury comprised of professionals in the western art community. Artists must submit 1-4 images through CAFÉ (callforentry.org). All images must be sized no smaller than 1200 pixels on the longest side and submitted as JPEG files under 5MB. AI-generated art and installation art are not accepted. Entry fee is $20.00 plus a $20.00 media fee. Application deadline is November 2, 2023 at 11:59 p.m. MDT. Acceptance notifications will be sent December 8, 2023.

All submitted art must be original in concept, design, and execution, generated within the last three years, and not previously displayed for sale at the CFD Old West Museum. 2-D pieces must not exceed 47 inches horizontal or 60 inches vertical including frame, and 3-D pieces must not exceed three square feet at the base. All artwork must be show-ready upon arrival (framed, matted, wire-strung, or gallery wrapped). All artworks must be for sale, and the Museum collects a 35% commission for each sale. Accepted artwork must remain on exhibit until the show closes. Hand delivery of accepted work is January 29 – February 2, 2024. Pick-up of unsold art is April 16 – 19, 2024.
