43rd Annual National Juried Art Show

The Arts Council of Wayne County announces a Call for Entry for the 43rd Annual National Juried Art Show in Goldsboro, North Carolina. This juried exhibition with cash prizes will be shown in the Atrium of the Wayne Learning Center at Wayne Community College November 11-23, 2022.

Eligible artists are 18 years and older. Acceptable media include drawings, paintings, graphics, sculptures, ceramics, textiles, mixed media, and photography. Entries will be judged digitally through callforentry.org. The entry fee is $40 (non-refundable) for up to 4 works. Submissions must include 1-4 images. All accepted art must remain for the duration of the exhibition and must be for sale; the Arts Council of Wayne County will retain a 35% commission on purchases.

Prizes include $1,000 for Best in Show, $500 for Second Prize, $250 for Third Prize, $100 for Best in Wayne County, and $100 for People's Choice Award. Honorable mentions will be awarded at the juror's discretion. The juror is Jacob Z. Wan, a contemporary bookbinder whose work has been exhibited internationally. Key dates: Entry deadline September 23, 2022; artist notifications September 30, 2022; deadline to receive accepted art November 1, 2022; opening reception November 11, 2022, 6-8 PM; art pick-up deadline November 30, 2022.
