43rd Annual Juried University of Wyoming Student Exhibition

The 43rd Annual Juried University of Wyoming Student Exhibition is open to any undergraduate, graduate, or post-baccalaureate student enrolled at the University of Wyoming during the 2017/2018 academic year, including students enrolled through the Outreach School. A maximum of three works per student may be submitted for consideration. Original artwork including paintings, drawings, prints, photography, sculpture, graphic design, ceramics, and mixed media are eligible. Two-dimensional works must be ready to hang and matted or framed when appropriate. All three-dimensional works must be stable. Bases will be provided by the UW Art Museum, which reserves the right to refuse any work that does not meet preparation criteria.

At the time of submission, artists must provide the title, date, size (H x W x D), and medium for each work. All works must specify a price or be listed as Not For Sale (NFS), and an insurance value must be provided. There is no fee to apply. If upon acceptance a submitted image is found to be altered and does not accurately represent the artwork, the UW Art Museum reserves the right to reject and return the work.

Accepted work will be posted online on January 17, 2018, with notifications sent to artists' university email accounts. Drop-off dates for student artists are Thursday-Friday, January 25-26, 2018, 9 am - 4 pm. The opening reception and awards ceremony is Friday, February 16, 2018, 6-8 pm, with a gallery walk-through for award-winning students on Monday, February 20, 2018, at 5:30 pm. The exhibition runs February 16 - May 12, 2018. Pick-up dates for unsold artwork are Monday-Tuesday, May 15-16, 2018, 9 am - 4 pm. A variety of cash and purchase awards are available, announced on opening night. Award winners are expected to attend in formal or semi-formal attire and are required to submit thank you notes for each award received. All awards are granted as scholarships deposited directly into student accounts. Images of selected artwork may be archived by UW Libraries in their online repository at the artist's discretion. The juror is Pam Campanaro, Director of Galleries at the University of Northern Colorado.
