About This Call

The Larson Gallery, located on the campus of Yakima Valley College in Yakima, Washington, presents the 42nd National Juried Photography Exhibition. The gallery was established in 1949 and remains the largest and oldest continually operating non-commercial gallery in Central Washington. In 2020, the gallery built a new facility with an adjoining wine-tasting room.

This national juried photography exhibition is open to all photographers residing in the United States. Eligible work must be original artwork executed by the artist within the last two years and not previously shown in the Larson Gallery. All photographic processes are accepted, including non-traditional materials, mixed media, and digital images derived from the artist's own sources. Artworks of multiple units are considered as one artwork only when priced, labeled, and photographed as one piece. Submissions must be made via the CaFE system; mail-in entries will not be considered. Images must conform to CaFE formatting standards.

Entry fee is $20 per media item, with up to 4 media items allowed per entry. The submission deadline is February 2, 2024 at 11:59 p.m. MST. Notifications will be sent February 9, 2024. Accepted work must arrive at the Larson Gallery no later than March 1, 2024. The exhibition runs March 9 - April 20, 2024 (closed March 25-April 1 for spring break), with a reception on March 9, 2024 from 3-5 p.m. Photographs should be framed in plexiglass (no glass) and ready for installation. All delivered work must be picked up no later than April 26, 2024. The juror is Thomas Harris, an MFA graduate from the Rhode Island School of Design who taught photography at the Art Institute of Seattle for thirty years.
