42nd Annual Western Spirit Juried Art Show and Sale

The Western Spirit Juried Art Show & Sale (WSJASS) is the premier annual juried art show in the Rocky Mountain region for new and emerging artists who create original western art depicting the American West. The show runs March 11 – April 23, 2023 at the Cheyenne Frontier Days™ Old West Museum.

Accepted media categories include Acrylic, Drawing, Mixed-Media (including digital drawings), Oil, Pastel, Photography, Printmaking, Sculpture, and Watercolor. All artwork is selected by an independent jury comprised of professionals in the western art community. Award judging occurs the Friday before the Western Spirit Opening Reception and Award Show on March 11, 2023 at 6:00pm.

Entry fee is $20.00 plus a $20.00 media fee. Submit 1-4 images (minimum 1200 pixels on longest side, JPEG format under 5MB) through www.callforentry.org by November 4, 2022 at 11:59 p.m. MDT. All artworks must be original, created within the last 2-3 years, and not previously shown at Western Spirit. Installation art is not accepted. All accepted works must arrive show-ready (framed, wired, mounted, and matted). 2-D pieces may not exceed 47 inches horizontal or 60 inches vertical including frame; 3-D pieces may not exceed three square feet at the base. Miniatures are limited to 12 inches framed (2-D) or 18 inches in any dimension (3-D). All artwork must be for sale; the Museum collects a 35% commission on sales.
