42nd Annual Rocky Mountain National Watermedia Exhibition

The Rocky Mountain National Watermedia (RMNW) exhibition, in its 42nd year, is presented by Foothills Art Center in Golden, Colorado. RMNW attracts entrants and jurors from throughout the United States and is regarded as one of the top watermedia exhibitions in the country. The exhibition is open to all artists residing in the United States. Exhibition dates are September 19–October 25, 2015.

Paintings must be an aqueous medium on paper, illustration board, or Yupo paper. Canvas is not permitted, nor are computer-generated works or Giclee prints. All collage materials must be painted by the artist. All entries must be one-of-a-kind and must have been painted in the last two years. Artworks may not have been shown previously in any exhibition at FAC. Minimum image size is 80 square inches; there is no maximum size limitation. Source material must be your own design or made from your own photograph. If accepted, the painting shipped must be the same as the image submitted.

Entry fee is $40 (non-refundable). Submit 1–3 images via CaFE. Juror selections will be announced June 25, 2015. All paintings must be available for sale during the exhibition. FAC retains a 40% commission on all art sales. In 2014, FAC awarded over $8,000 in cash and merchandise to exhibition artists. All artists who apply will receive one complimentary catalog. Shipped artwork will be charged a $25 handling fee. All artists shipping work must provide a pre-paid return-shipping label. FAC provides insurance for artworks while on premises but is not responsible for damage or loss during transport.
