42nd Annual National Juried Art Show

The Arts Council of Wayne County invites artists 18 years and older to submit work for the 42nd Annual National Juried Art Show. Open to all artists nationally, the exhibition runs October 1 - November 19, 2021, with an opening reception on October 1st at 6 p.m. in the Main Gallery.

Eligibility and Requirements: All work must be original, executed within the past two years, and for sale. A maximum of 4 works may be submitted. Acceptable mediums include paintings, graphics, sculptures, ceramics, textiles, mixed media, and photography. All work must be framed, wired, and ready for hanging or suitably prepared for exhibition. No work may exceed 4 feet in any direction. Sculptures must be portable by no more than two persons and weigh less than 100 lbs. Work must not have been exhibited in previous Arts Council of Wayne County Juried Art Exhibitions. Entry fee is $40 (non-refundable) for up to 4 works. Digital submissions are judged through callforentry.org. Selected artists are responsible for shipping or delivering work to the ACWC between September 7-28, 2021.

Prizes: $1,000 Best In Show, $500 Second Prize, $250 Third Prize, $100 Best In Wayne County, and $100 People's Choice Award. The juror will present each piece before awarding prizes based solely on merit. Honorable mentions will be awarded at the juror's discretion. The ACWC retains 35% commission on sales. Unsold works must be picked up by November 26, 2021, or become the property of the Arts Council. Gallery hours: Tuesday-Friday 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., Saturday 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
