42nd Annual Juried University of Wyoming Student Exhibition

The 42nd Annual Juried University of Wyoming Student Exhibition is open to any undergraduate, graduate, or post-baccalaureate student currently enrolled at the University of Wyoming or one of its Outreach Schools during the 2016/2017 academic year. Students may submit up to 3 original works in any medium for consideration, including paintings, drawings, prints, photography, sculpture, graphic design, ceramics, and mixed media. Two-dimensional works must be ready to hang (matted and framed under glass or plexiglass). Three-dimensional works must be stable; bases will be provided by the UW Art Museum. All works must include title, date, size (H x W x D), medium, price or "Not For Sale" designation, and insurance value at time of submission. There is no fee to apply.

Works will be selected by juror Catharine Clark, Gallery Owner at Catherine Clark Gallery in San Francisco. The exhibition runs February 10 – March 18, 2017. Accepted work will be posted January 18, 2017. Delivery of accepted artwork is Thursday-Friday, January 26-27, 2017, 9 am - 4 pm. The opening reception and awards ceremony is Friday, February 10, 2017, 6 - 8 pm, with awards announced at 6:30 pm. A gallery walk through with award-winning students is Monday, February 20, 2017, 5:30 pm. Pickup of unsold artwork is Monday-Tuesday, March 20-21, 2017, 9 am - 4 pm.

A variety of cash and purchase awards are available, granted in the form of scholarships deposited directly into student accounts. Award winners are required to submit thank you notes for each award received. Images of artwork selected for the exhibition will be archived by UW Libraries online repository.
