About This Call
The Larson Gallery, located on the campus of Yakima Valley College in Yakima, Washington, is the largest and oldest continually operating non-commercial gallery in Central Washington. Established in 1949, it operates as a partnership between the Larson Gallery, the Larson Gallery Guild (a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization), and Yakima Valley College.
This is a national juried photography exhibition held every two years and is open to all photographers residing in the United States. Only original artwork executed by the artist within the last two years and not previously shown in the Larson Gallery will be considered. Accepted media includes all photographic processes, non-traditional materials and/or mixed media, digital images derived from the artist's own sources, and video up to 5 minutes in length (with a maximum of two video works included in the exhibition). Artworks of multiple units are considered as one artwork only when priced, labeled, and photographed as one piece.
Entry fee is $20 per media item, with up to 4 media items permitted per entry. Submissions must include 1-4 images and 0-2 videos. All entries must be submitted via the CaFE system; mail-in entries will not be considered. The submission deadline is February 1, 2019 at 11:59 p.m. MST. Notifications will be sent February 8, 2019. Accepted work must arrive at the Larson Gallery no later than March 1, 2019. The exhibition runs March 9 - April 13, 2019 (closed March 21-29 for spring break), with a reception on March 9, 2019 from 3-5 p.m. All delivered work must be picked up no later than April 19, 2019. The juror is Rebecca Cummins, Professor and Chair of Photomedia in the School of Art + Art History + Design at the University of Washington, Seattle.
