41st Annual Western Spirit Juried Art Show and Sale

The Western Spirit Juried Art Show & Sale is the premier annual juried art show in the Rocky Mountain region for new and emerging artists who depict the American West. The show runs March 6 – April 18, 2021.

Artists may submit 1-4 images of original work in the following media categories: Acrylic, Drawing, Mixed-Media, Oil, Pastel, Photography, Print-Making, Sculpture, and Watercolor. Installation art is not accepted. All work must have been created within the last 2-3 years and not previously shown in the Western Spirit Show. Entry fee is $20.00 plus a $10.00 media fee. Artists juried into the show may also submit up to two wire hang-ready miniature works. 2-D pieces must not exceed 47 inches horizontal or 60 inches vertical (measured with frame). 3-D pieces must not exceed three square feet at the base. Suspended sculpture must not exceed 5' x 8'. 2-D miniatures must not exceed 168 square inches or 14in x 14in. 3-D miniatures must not exceed 18 inches in any direction and 512 cubic inches (8in x 8in x 8in) including the base.

Awards include Best of Show $1,000, Best of Each Media $500, People's Choice $300, and Best Miniature $100. All accepted artwork must be for sale and ready to hang on a wire hang system. The Museum collects a 35% commission on all sales. Artwork must arrive framed, mounted, and matted. Shipped work must include preprinted return shipping labels with barcodes and arrive January 18-22, 2021. Hand-delivered work must arrive January 25-29, 2021, 9 a.m. – 4 p.m. Unsold artwork pick-up is April 20-23, 2021, 9 a.m. – 4 p.m. An optional Art Seminar is available March 6, 2021 for $45.00, including breakfast, lunch, and morning speaker session with optional afternoon workshops.
