The 41st Annual Juried University of Wyoming Student Exhibition is open to any undergraduate, graduate, or post baccalaureate student enrolled at the University of Wyoming during the 2015/2016 academic year, including any student in the state enrolled at UW through the Outreach School. The exhibition will be held February 13–March 29, 2016, with an opening reception and awards ceremony on Friday, February 12, 2016, at 6-8 pm.
Students may submit a maximum of three original artworks in any media, including paintings, drawings, prints, photography, sculpture, graphic design, ceramics, and mixed media. Two-dimensional works must be ready to hang (matted and framed under glass or plexiglass). Three-dimensional works must be stable; bases will be provided by the UW Art Museum. At submission, provide the title, date, size (H x W x D), and medium for each work. All works must specify a price or be listed Not For Sale (NFS), and an insurance value must be provided. Work samples may include 1-3 images and up to 3 videos. There is no fee to apply.
The exhibition will be juried by Dan Mills, Director of Bates College Museum of Art. A variety of cash and purchase awards are available, to be announced at the opening reception. Accepted work will be delivered to the Art Museum January 28-29, 2016, 9 am-4 pm. Images of selected artwork will be archived by UW Libraries online repository. Unsold artwork may be picked up March 21-22, 2016, 9 am-4 pm.
