About This Call
The 41st Annual International Exhibition is a juried visual art competition organized by the Department of Art and Art History at The University of Texas at Tyler. Internationally known artists, curators, and scholars have served as jurors selecting works for exhibition created by contemporary artists. The Department purchases three to six works from the exhibition each year; purchased works are added to the permanent collection, which serves as an educational teaching resource and is exhibited throughout the UT Tyler main campus.
This competition is open to any artist over the age of 18 working in two-dimensional media. Paintings, drawings, prints, fiber arts, and photographs created in the last three years are welcome. Artists may submit up to three works for consideration for a non-refundable fee of $35. Submitted images must comply with CaFE's entry requirements; artwork not accurately represented by the submitted image may be withheld from the exhibition. Works must be professionally presented and ready for installation upon receipt. Framed works must use Plexiglass only; pieces with glass will not be accepted. Entries must weigh less than 50 pounds.
Shipped work should arrive by January 9, 2026. Hand delivered artworks may be brought in on January 8-9, 2026, between 9:00 am and 1:00 pm. Shipped work must be in a reusable shipping container with a pre-paid return shipping label. The Department will insure all works between delivery and pick-up at the Meadows Gallery. Notification of acceptance will be sent via email on December 15, 2025. The exhibition opens January 20, 2026, with a reception and juror presentation on February 5, 2026, and closes February 27, 2026. Works will be returned March 10-14, 2026.
