About This Call
The 40th Annual Juried University of Wyoming Student Exhibition is open to any undergraduate, graduate, or post baccalaureate student enrolled at the University of Wyoming during the 2015 academic year. Students enrolled at UW through the Outreach School are also eligible. The juror is Kelly Baum, Haskell Curator of Modern and Contemporary Art at Princeton University Art Museum.
Original artwork including paintings, drawings, prints, photography, sculpture, graphic design, ceramics, and mixed media may be submitted. Two-dimensional works must be ready to hang (matted and framed under glass or plexiglass). Three-dimensional works must be stable, with bases provided by the UW Art Museum. A maximum of three works per student may be submitted. Title, date, size (H x W x D), and medium must be provided at submission. All works must specify price or be listed Not For Sale (NFS) and an insurance value must be provided. Students submitting 3D or installation works can provide additional images/views on a CD, with any additional images due by 5 pm on Friday, December 19. There is no fee to apply.
The exhibition runs February 14 – March 21, 2015. Accepted work will be posted January 12, 2015. Delivery of accepted artwork is Thursday-Friday, January 29-30, 2015, 9 am-4 pm. The opening reception and awards ceremony is Friday, February 13, 2015, 6-8 pm, with awards announced at 6:30 pm. A gallery walk through for award-winning students is Monday, February 23, 7 pm. Pickup of unsold artwork is Monday-Tuesday, March 23-24, 2015, 9 am-4 pm. A variety of cash and purchase awards are available.
