40 Under 40

Fort Works Art is pleased to announce an open call for submissions for 40 Under 40, a juried exhibition open to artists under 40 years old residing in the continental USA. The competition accepts contemporary 2D and 3D artwork including painting, prints, and drawings. Photography, video, and installation work will not be accepted. All work must be original, produced within the last two years, and not previously shown at Fort Works Art.

Entry fee is $35 for up to three digital images. The exhibition will be on display September 13 through October 14, with an opening reception on September 15 from 6:00 to 9:00 p.m. Juror Maggie Adler, Associate Curator at the Amon Carter Museum of American Art, will select work for the exhibition. There will be a $500 cash prize for Best in Show. Notification of acceptance will be sent by August 25. Accepted artists are responsible for shipping work to the gallery by September 7. Artwork must have hardware installed for immediate installation with no adjustments necessary. The gallery will retain a 50% commission on all work sold.
