3rd Biennial Wings & Water

River Arts, Inc. invites artists from around the nation to participate in a juried exhibit depicting their definition of wings and/or water. Examples include works of birds, insects, fish, animals, rivers, and related subjects. All styles, media, and techniques are accepted, including both 2-D and 3-D pieces.

Submissions are limited to 6 works maximum. Works must be original and include title, media, size, and price. Entry fee is $35 for two works, with additional works at $10 each (maximum six total). Artists may submit one image per work; alternate views or detail images should be incorporated as side-by-side comparisons in a single image file. Two-dimensional work must be framed or exhibit-ready and wired for hanging. Maximum size limit is 5 feet. All works must remain at the gallery for the duration of the exhibit.

Awards include $500 Best of Show, $150 2nd Place, $75 Honorable Mention (2 awards), and $50 People's Choice. The juror is Graeme Reid, Director of Collections & Exhibitions at the Museum of Wisconsin Art. Acceptances and regrets will be sent by November 22, 2017. The exhibition runs January 18 - March 9, 2018, with an opening reception on February 23, 2018 at 5:30 p.m. Artists retain 65% of sales with 35% retained by River Arts Inc. Artists are responsible for shipping and insurance costs to and from the venue; artwork will be insured by River Arts Inc. during the exhibit. Unsold artwork will be returned March 16-20, 2018.
