3rd Art and Flowers Competition

Ellington-White Contemporary Gallery invites artists to submit entries to its 3rd Art and Flowers national juried competition, a celebration pairing original 2D floral artworks with floral arrangements created by regional designers inspired by selected exhibition works. The exhibition demonstrates the continued significance of botanical art through both conventional and innovative methods.

Open to professional artists 18 years of age and older. All work must be original and completed within the last two years, with a maximum of three submissions per artist. Work size must be between 12" x 12" and 48" x 48" including frame. All works must be properly framed, wired, and ready to hang. Entry fee is $35.00 for up to three images submitted via CaFE online submission system. Submissions accepted January 1 – March 1, 2017. Accepted works must arrive by March 18, 2017. The exhibition runs March 24 – May 20, 2017 at the Arts Council of Fayetteville/Cumberland County.

Awards include $1,750 in cash awards, a People's Choice Award, and Honorable Mentions. Image selection jurors are Professors Shane Booth, Soni Martin, and Dwight Smith from the Department of Performing and Fine Arts at Fayetteville State University.
