3rd Annual Taos Abstract Artist Collective Exhibitions (Fall 2024 & Spring 2025)

Taos Abstract Artist Collective (TAAC) invites artists living and working in Northern New Mexico to participate in its 3rd Annual Group Exhibitions at the Stables Gallery at the Taos Center for the Arts (133 Paseo Del Pueblo Norte, Taos, NM 87571). The fall exhibition runs October 12-19, 2024, with drop-off on October 9th, installation on October 10th, and opening reception on October 11th. The spring exhibition runs April 25-May 3, 2025, with drop-off on April 23rd, installation on April 24th, and opening reception on April 25th. Abstract works across all disciplines are encouraged, including visual arts (painting, drawing, sculpture, mixed media, photography, ceramics, fiber, wearable art, etc.), video, projection, performance, and sound composition.

Eligibility is limited to artists living and working in Northern New Mexico. The entry fee is $35.00, with a deadline of July 17, 2024 at 11:59 p.m. MDT. Artists may submit up to 3 portfolio samples; TAAC will select one work per applicant for exhibition. Due to gallery space limitations, the call will close when 140 applications have been received. All applications will have one work accepted; however, TAAC reserves the right to determine which exhibition (fall or spring) each artist will exhibit in. Artwork may not be swapped except with TAAC approval, and only up to three weeks before the exhibition. 2D/3D work must not exceed 4' x 4' in its final installed format.

Artists must submit an artist statement and bio (180 words or less each) and include dimensions of work in its final, installed state. Visual artists should submit JPEG files at 1,200 pixels or greater on the longest side, under 5 MB, in sRGB color profile. Video/projection/performance artists may submit MOV, MP4, WMV, 3GP, AVI, ASF, MPG, M2T, MKV, or M2TS files under 100 MB (or provide a YouTube link for files larger than 10 MB). All work must be delivered and picked up according to TAAC's schedule; the organization does not store work before or after exhibitions. Proceeds from submission fees support exhibition operational costs and community programming. All art sales go directly to artists; TAAC volunteers will connect buyers to artists.
