3rd Annual Spring Small Works Show

The 3rd Annual Spring Small Works Show at Vanessa Lacy Gallery invites artwork of all media and genres. Artwork must be 14" or less in all dimensions (frames for 2D art and bases for 3D art are not included in this measurement). Artwork is chosen based on merit and as space allows. Artwork promoting hate, violence, or obscene nudity will not be accepted. The gallery has previously housed artwork by more than 50 different artists in small works shows.

The exhibit will be held at Vanessa Lacy Gallery, located in the historic Kansas City Livestock Exchange Building at 1600 Genessee Street, Unit 161, Kansas City, Missouri 64102. The opening reception takes place April 17th from 5-9 pm, and the show runs until May 9th, 2020. A virtual reception will be held at 5 pm on April 17th via live video on Facebook and Instagram. Artwork will be featured online and available for purchase through the gallery website, Facebook, and Instagram. Visitors can also view artwork in person by appointment.

Artists invited to participate must deliver artwork by 5 pm Tuesday, April 14th. Jury results will be announced Monday evening, April 6th. The entry fee is $15.00. Gallery takes 40% commission from artist-provided prices. Artists are responsible for shipping costs and insurance. A return shipping label must be included with artwork for the gallery to return unsold pieces. 2D artwork must have a wire on the back and be framed and ready to hang. Artwork that is not ready to hang or display upon arrival, or artwork arriving damaged, will not be shown. The gallery is not responsible for theft or damages during shipping or exhibition.
