3rd Annual Lazarus Excellence in Watercolor Show

The 3rd Annual Lazarus Excellence in Watercolor Award Exhibition 2025 will be held at TAG Gallery, 5458 Wilshire Blvd, Los Angeles, CA 90036 from February 26 - March 21, 2025. The gallery reception and awards ceremony will take place Saturday, March 8, 2025 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM. Three cash awards will be presented: 1st Place $600, 2nd Place $400, 3rd Place $250, plus Honorable Mention. The juror is Carolyn Lord, a California-based watercolor artist whose work has been featured in American Artist, Watercolor Artist, and Plein Air Magazine.

Artists 18 years and older who are U.S. residents are invited to submit original watercolor, gouache, or watercolor pencil paintings. Artwork must be the artist's own execution, have not been previously shown at TAG Gallery, and must be available for sale. Submissions are limited to five original watercolor artworks per artist, with a maximum size of 52 inches high and 52 inches wide framed. Entries must be submitted as high-resolution JPG images (2-3 MB). The entry fee is $40.00 for one artwork, with additional entries at $5.00 each. The deadline for entries is February 3, 2025 at 11:59 p.m. MST. Acceptance notification will be sent February 10, 2025. Artwork delivery in-person or drop-off is February 19-22, 2025 from 1:00 PM - 7:00 PM. Shipped artwork must arrive by February 21, 2025.

All artwork must be for sale. TAG Gallery receives a 40% commission on sold artwork, with a possible 10% discount applied to sales. TAG's commission applies from acceptance through one month after the exhibition closes. Artists who ship artwork must provide a prepaid return shipping label. Artwork not picked up 30 days after the exhibition closes is considered abandoned and will be donated to local charities.
