3rd Annual Fotografia 2023

PRPG.mx presents the 3rd Annual Fotografia 2023, an exploration of contemporary photography. This open theme competition accepts all genres, photography formats, and print mediums. Work must have been produced within 1 year of the exhibition date. Photographers must be at least 18 years old to enter. Entries will be selected based on technical application, originality, and concept.

Finalists will be invited to show their work in an exhibition at PRPG.mx in Mexico City and may be offered a solo exhibition on Artsy.net. Selected artists will be featured in a digital catalog published by PRPG.mx and made available to collectors, galleries, and cultural institutions. A selection of artists will be chosen to participate in PRPG.mx's Visiting Artists program, featuring interviews about their process and work. Many artists from previous editions have participated in art fairs including Zona Maco and Clavo Movimiento, and exhibitions with support of Secretaria de Cultura CDMX, Estado de Mexico, and Mexico.

Entry fee is $40 for up to 10 images. An optional curator consultation is available for $50 (limited to 1 hour via Zoom, non-refundable). Artists selected for the exhibition will receive notification on a rolling basis with final notifications 3 weeks prior to the exhibition. Selected artists may receive an Invited status for immediate upcoming exhibitions or a Wait List status indicating interest with potential placement within 9 months. All work must be original, unsold work with the artist owning sole copyright. Frames, mats, and wiring must be of professional quality and in good condition.
