3rd Annual Conroe Art League National Invitational Show

The Conroe Art League invites artists to enter the 3rd Annual National Invitational Show, held at The Gallery in the Madeley Building in Historic Downtown Conroe. The gallery is a premier exhibit space in a renovated 100-year-old building. The show will hang through March 2018 and be on display during Arts Week in Conroe, which will highlight the National Invitational Show alongside The Young Texas Artists Competition, an internationally acclaimed classical music competition.

This is a national call for original 2D and 3D artwork created within the last two years. Entry fee is $25.00, with an additional $25.00 media fee for each image beyond the first. Submit 1-4 images. Artwork must not exceed 50 lbs; maximum size for 2D work is 48"W x 60"H, and 3D work is 24"W x 36"H x 24"D. All artwork must be ready to hang with gallery wire on the back. No Giclée prints are allowed. Artwork must be original and created by the applicant.

Juror Peter Andrew is a Fulbright Fellow and member of the New York Society of Illustrators, Professor of Art at Stephen F. Austin State University, and his work has been featured in over fifty one-man exhibits and three hundred group shows. Cash prizes will be awarded: First Place $1,500, Second Place $1,000, Third Place $500. Three additional Honorable Recognition ribbons will be given. Artwork will be available for purchase with a 20% commission taken on all works sold. Works are insured while in the gallery. Delivery deadline is February 28, 2018 by 6pm.
