3rd Annual 5x5x5 Show

River Oaks Square Arts Center invites all visual artists to participate in the 3rd Annual 5x5x5 Show, an annual signature exhibition of miniature works. The show coincides with the gift-giving season and allows patrons to purchase unique, original works of art for holiday gifts or personal collections.

Both 2D and 3D works in all media are accepted. Original works only. Image size should be no larger than 5x5 inches or 25 square inches. Three-dimensional work should stay within 5"h x 5"w x 5"d. When matting, the mat should be no more than 2" on top and sides and 3" on the bottom, and must be off-white or white in color. Framing should suit the piece and be ready to hang. Entry artists may submit 1-4 pieces. Entry fee is $15 per artist. River Oaks receives a 30% commission on works sold.

Awards include $500 Best in Show, three Merit Awards of $100 each, and Honorable Mention. Guest Juror for 2018 is New Orleans artist Steve Martin, gallery owner and founder/publisher of Art+Design Magazine. Exhibition dates are November 16, 2018 through February 9, 2019, with opening reception on November 16. Jury acceptance notification is October 26, 2018. Artists are responsible for shipping and insurance costs to and from the Art Center. Accepted artwork must be delivered by 5 p.m. Friday, November 9. All work must arrive with return shipping label. Unsold works will be returned March 8, 2019.
