About This Call
The Larson Gallery, located on the campus of Yakima Valley Community College in Yakima, Washington, presents the 39th National Juried Photography Exhibition. This national juried photography exhibition is held every two years and is open to all photographers residing in the United States. The exhibition will be held March 7 - April 18, 2015 (closed March 23-28 for spring break), with a reception on March 7, 2015 from 3-5pm.
Eligibility: Open to all artists residing in the United States. Only original artwork executed by the artist within the last two years and not previously shown in the Larson Gallery will be considered. All photographic processes are accepted, including non-traditional materials, mixed media, digital images derived from the artist's own sources, and video up to 5 minutes in length (note: only two video works will be included in the exhibit). Artworks of multiple units are considered as one artwork only when priced, labeled, and photographed as one piece.
Submissions must be made via the CaFE system; mail-in entries will not be considered. Images must conform to CaFE formatting standards. You may submit 1-4 images and 0-2 videos (up to 4 total media items). Entry fee is $20 per media item. Submission deadline: January 17, 2015 at 11:59 p.m. MST. Notifications will be sent January 27, 2015. Accepted work must arrive at the Larson Gallery no later than February 27, 2015. All work must be ready for installation. Hand-delivered work may be delivered during regular gallery hours February 24-27, 2015. Shipped work must arrive by February 27, 2015 in a sturdy reusable container and must include return shipping fees. All delivered work must be picked up no later than April 24, 2015. The Gallery cannot be held responsible for damage or loss to artwork left more than 30 days following posted deadlines; artwork left longer than 30 days becomes the property of the Larson Gallery Guild.
Juror: David D. Johnson, a retired fine art photographer and teacher with 37 years of teaching experience, including 11 years at Pierce College and 14 years with the University of Washington Professional and Continuing Education program.
