39th International Exhibition 2016: Watercolor Art Society-Houston

Founded in 1975, the Watercolor Art Society – Houston (WAS-H) brings water-media exhibitions, community outreach, and teaching programs to the greater Houston area. With over 600 members, WAS-H provides year-round opportunities for painters at all levels and maintains a gallery in Houston's Museum District.

The 39th Annual International Exhibition will be held March 8-31, 2016, continuing WAS-H's tradition of attracting high-quality works from around the globe. The exhibition features a juror (Anne Abgott, AWS, NWS) and awards totaling over $6,000, including First Prize of $2,000, Second Prize of $1,200, Third Prize of $900, and additional memorial and merit awards. Only one painting per artist will be accepted and displayed.

Entry Submission Dates: September 15, 2015 – January 15, 2016 at 11:59 p.m. MST. Entry fees: $35 for one entry, $50 for two, $60 for three. All submitted artwork must be original, painted within two years of entry, at least 80% watermedia on paper/clayboard/yupo, with minimum image size of 10" and maximum frame size of 48". Artwork must have a title and be priced for sale. Accepted artists must deliver work by March 3, 2016 and pay a handling fee ($25-$50 depending on delivery method).
