39th Annual McNeese National Works on Paper Exhibition

The 39th Annual McNeese National Works on Paper Exhibition is a national competition juried by Nicole Donnelly, Executive Director of the Morgan Art of Papermaking Conservatory in Cleveland, OH. The exhibition is open to all artists living in the United States, with work in any medium using paper as a component part eligible for submission. Artwork, including frame, should not exceed 40 inches in any dimension and must be original work completed in the last two years.

Artists may submit up to three entries for a non-refundable entry fee of $35. The exhibition runs from March 26 through May 15, 2026, in the Grand Gallery at McNeese State University in Lake Charles, Louisiana. Awards totaling $3,000 will be available for the purchase of works for the McNeese State University Works on Paper Permanent Collection, with awards announced at the opening reception on March 26 from 6 to 8 p.m.

Accepted works must be suitable for formal gallery presentation and shipped to arrive by March 18, 2026. All accepted artworks are required to remain in the Grand Gallery for the duration of the exhibition. While no commission is charged on purchase prize awards, a 40 percent commission applies to all other sales. Each entrant will receive a copy of the exhibition catalog.
