39th Annual All-Media Juried Art Exhibition

The Lancaster Museum of Art and History (MOAH) and MOAH:CEDAR announce the 39th Annual All-Media Juried Art Exhibition. Artists of all ages and experience levels from the Antelope Valley and the greater 5th Supervisorial District of Los Angeles County are welcome to participate. The exhibition runs from Saturday, June 1 to Saturday, July 20, 2024, with an opening reception on Saturday, June 1 from 4 PM to 6 PM and an awards ceremony at 6 PM in Cedar Hall.

Cash awards will total over $1,000. Jurors will select Best of Exhibition, 2nd Best of Exhibition, and 3rd Best of Exhibition awards donated by the Lancaster Museum & Public Art Foundation (LMPAF). Best of Exhibition winners will receive cash awards and the opportunity to participate in an exclusive portfolio review with MOAH's curators. LMPAF may choose to purchase any one of the three Best of Exhibition award winners for inclusion in the Museum's permanent collection. Additional awards are available from various community individuals, organizations, and businesses. A People's Choice award will be determined by visitor votes via Instagram using #MOAHPeoplesChoice or paper ballots on site, with winners announced at the closing on July 20th.

Online submissions open Monday, April 1 at 10 AM PST and close Friday, May 3 at 10:59 PM PST through callforentry.org (CaFE). Artists must create a free account to submit. The first entry is free; each additional entry costs $5.00, plus a $3 processing fee per applicant. Work samples may include up to 3 images, 3 audio files, or 3 video files (minimum 1 total sample, maximum 3 total). Two age categories are available: 17 and under / 18 and above. Artists 17 and under must have parental permission. Works must have been completed within the last three years and not previously exhibited at MOAH or MOAH:CEDAR. Physical dimensions are limited to 36 inches or less in any direction. Eligible media include photography, video, audio, painting, drawing, mixed media 2D, mixed media 3D, AR, VR, new media, fiber, wearable art, small installations, and clay. Notification of accepted artworks will be sent by May 9, 2024. Drop-off dates are Friday, May 17 (12 PM - 5 PM), Saturday, May 18 (4 PM - 8 PM), and Sunday, May 19 (12 PM - 5 PM). Pick-up dates are Sunday, July 21 (12 PM - 3 PM) or Monday, July 22 (4 PM - 8 PM). Artists or their representatives must arrange delivery and pick-up on these dates.
