38th Annual McNeese National Works on Paper Exhibition

The 38th Annual McNeese National Works on Paper Exhibition is open to all artists living in the United States. Work in any medium using paper as a component part is eligible. Artwork, including frame, should not exceed 40" in any dimension. All artwork should be original and completed in the last two years. Artists may submit no more than three entries. The entry fee is $35, which entitles the artist to a maximum of three entries.

The juror is Erika Olinger, Owner and Director of Cole Pratt Gallery in New Orleans, LA. The deadline for receiving all entry submissions is February 8, 2025. Notification of acceptance will be sent February 22. Accepted works must be received by March 7. The exhibition runs March 20 - May 2, 2025, with an opening reception on March 27 from 6 to 8 p.m. Awards will be announced at the opening reception. $3,000 will be available for the purchase of works for the McNeese State University Works on Paper Permanent Collection.

Accepted artwork must be suitable for formal gallery presentation and the rigors of packaged shipping. Works must be shipped to: McNeese State University/Dept. of Visual Arts, 4205 Ryan St., Lake Charles, LA 70605. All accepted works must include prepaid return shipping label. Hand deliveries are accepted March 4-7 (9 a.m. to 4 p.m.). Return of artwork begins May 12. Works are insured while on exhibition in the Grand Gallery. A 40 percent commission will be charged on all artists' sales by the Grand Gallery. Each entrant will receive a copy of the exhibition catalog.
