37th Annual Wallowa Valley Festival of Arts

The 37th Annual Wallowa Valley Festival of Arts is the largest juried fine art exhibition in Eastern Oregon, held September 10-15, 2019 at the Josephy Center for Arts and Culture in Joseph, OR. The festival is dedicated to promoting the arts and supporting artists, reflecting the beauty, culture, heritage, and traditions of the region through representational/traditional realism and contemporary art from the Pacific Northwest and beyond.

The festival is open to all artists. Eligible categories include Sculpture (wood, clay, stone, bronze, or other metal), Painting (oil, acrylic, watercolor), Drawing (pastel, pencil, graphite, charcoal, ink), Printmaking (woodblock, engraving, etching, monoprint, aquatint, linotype, lithography, silkscreen, or digital prints), Photography (including digitally altered photography), and Other (glass, jewelry, fiber arts, ceramics, or mixed media). Copies, kits, reproductions, or work done under instructor supervision are not eligible. Artists may submit up to 3 pieces for consideration; a maximum of 2 pieces per artist will be juried into the show. Size constraints: 3-dimensional pieces must not exceed 72" total (L+W+H), and 2-dimensional pieces must not exceed 30" on any side before framing.

Entry deadline is July 31, 2019 at 11:59 p.m. MDT. Entry fee is $30.00 (non-refundable) for up to 3 pieces. Submissions are made online via CaFE (Call for Artist Entry) at https://www.callforentry.org. Each submission requires 1 image per piece and a brief artist biography of 150 words or less. Acceptance notifications will be sent August 7-11, 2019. All accepted work must be original, must not have been displayed in a previous Wallowa Valley Festival of Arts show, and must be made available for sale.
