36th Texas & Neighbors Regional Art Exhibition

The 36th Texas & Neighbors Regional Art Exhibition is open to all artists 18 and older living in Texas, Arkansas, Louisiana, New Mexico, and Oklahoma. Sponsored by the Irving Art Association and Irving Arts Center, the exhibition will be on display May 15 - June 12, 2021 at the Irving Arts Center, 3333 N. MacArthur Blvd., Irving TX 75062.

Up to three works of art may be entered for an entry fee of $55 ($45 for Irving Art Association members). Seven media categories are accepted: Oil Painting, Acrylic, Water Media, Mixed Media, Drawing (Dry Media), Photography, and Sculpture. The juror will select 75 to 85 artworks from submitted entries. Entrants will be notified of acceptance by email by March 20 or 21. The exhibition offers $10,000 in prizes including Best of Show, IAC Award of Excellence, and 1st, 2nd, 3rd, and Honorable Mention awards in each category. Artists may earn Texas & Neighbors Signature Status by exhibiting in five shows, receiving a medal, certificate, and the right to add the TXN acronym to their paintings plus a listing on the TxN website.

Submitted works must be completed within the last two years without instructor supervision and must not be copies of other artists' work. Two-dimensional works require a minimum size of 12 inches in either dimension (or 144 square inches) and maximum of 50 inches framed in either dimension. Three-dimensional sculpture must not exceed 18 inches in diameter or 36 inches in height. All artwork must be professionally framed or on wrapped canvas/cradled panel, wired and ready to hang. Digital JPEG images (72 DPI or greater, minimum 1920 pixels on longest side, 5MB maximum) of 1-3 works must be submitted by March 1, 2021 at midnight. Computer-generated, offset printed, collaborative, and previously accepted works are ineligible. All fees are nonrefundable.
