About This Call
The Lancaster Museum of Art and History (MOAH) and MOAH:CEDAR announce the 36th Annual All-Media Juried Art Exhibition. This year's show will be a virtual gallery available for viewing through MOAH:CEDAR's website. Artists of all ages and experience levels from the Antelope Valley and the 5th Supervisorial District of Los Angeles County are welcomed to participate.
The exhibition will run from Saturday, May 22 to Sunday, June 27. A special virtual closing reception will be held on Saturday, June 26 at 6 p.m., featuring an awards ceremony with over $1,000 in awards from the Lancaster Museum and Public Art Foundation and various sponsors. Jurors are Katherine Nestved and George Davis. Best of Exhibition winners will be considered for acquisition into the Museum of Art and History's permanent collection.
Eligibility: Works must have been completed within the last three years and not previously exhibited at MOAH or MOAH:CEDAR. All media are welcome, including photography, video, audio, painting, drawing, mixed media 2D, mixed media 3D, and clay. Artists 17 and under must have parental permission. Applicants must reside within the 5th Supervisorial District of Los Angeles County or within specified ZIP codes (91321, 91350, 91351, 91354, 91355, 91381, 91383, 91384, 91387, 91390, 93501, 93505, 93510, 93516, 93523, 93524, 93532, 93534, 93535, 93536, 93543, 93544, 93550, 93551, 93552, 93553, 93560, 93561, 93563, 93591, 93599, 92371, 92301, 93203, 93243).
Submissions are online only through callforentry.org. Artists may submit up to 3 work samples (images, audio, or video combined). Entry fee is $3.00 processing fee for the first entry; additional entries are $5.00 each. Submission deadline is Friday, May 14 at 5 p.m. Notification of accepted artworks will be sent Wednesday, May 19. Awards include cash prizes and the opportunity for Best of Exhibition winners to participate in an exclusive portfolio review with MOAH's curators. Local artists may opt-in for consideration for the Emerging Artist Workshop Opportunity Award.
