360 Xochi Quetzal: AUGUST Residency for Photographers

The 360XQ residency has welcomed hundreds of artists, writers and musicians who have found refuge and inspiration at Lake Chapala in Mexico for over 12 years. Ajijic is located on the north shore of Lake Chapala, approximately 30 minutes from Guadalajara International Airport. The accommodations are in a residential neighborhood offering quiet and solitude, while being within a few blocks of a pharmacy, grocery store, gym, movie theater and public transportation. The town is walkable with colorful buildings, galleries, shops and restaurants, and offers a reasonable cost of living.

The residency can be as independent as you wish, or if you seek connection and inspiration with the local arts scene, the organization will make introductions and open doors. If you are looking to meet other artists, assistance will be provided in pursuing connection and collaboration.

All photographers over the age of 23 are welcome to apply. Applicants must submit 6 images of their work, a CV, an artist statement, and links to their website and social media. The entry fee is $40.00, and up to 3 applications are allowed per person. The entry deadline is July 6, 2024 at 11:59 p.m. MDT.
