About This Call

The 360XQ residency has welcomed hundreds of artists, writers and musicians for over 12 years at Lake Chapala, Mexico. Ajijic is located on the north shore of Lake Chapala, approximately 30 minutes from Guadalajara International Airport. The residency can be as independent as you wish, or if you are seeking connection and inspiration with the local arts scene, the organization will make introductions and open doors.

Accommodations are located in a residential neighborhood offering quiet and solitude, while being within a few blocks of a pharmacy, grocery store, gym, movie theater and public transportation. The town is walkable with colorful buildings, galleries, shops and restaurants, with a very reasonable cost of living. You will be provided with an easel and table(s) for working. Supplies can be brought with you, purchased locally or ordered in advance. Some supplies left behind by previous residents are available for use, and numerous art supply shops are within walking distance.

Eligibility: Any painter over the age of 23 is eligible to apply. Application requirements include 6 images of your work, CV, artist statement, and links to your website and social media. Entry fee: $40.00. Up to 3 applications allowed per applicant. Entry deadline: July 6, 2024 at 11:59 p.m. MDT.
