35th Annual High School Juried Show

The Hyde Collection announces the 35th Annual High School Juried Show, a spring exhibition for high school students from Warren, Washington, Saratoga, Hamilton, and Essex counties. Students may submit diverse styles and mediums including drawing, painting, digital illustration, photography, mixed-media, jewelry, sculpture, and ceramics. The exhibition provides experience with a professional competitive arts process.

Artworks are juried by a panel of 3 artists and arts professionals using a blind jury process. Jurors evaluate each artwork by assigning scores for Artistic Merit (2D: 1-5 points) or Craftsmanship (3D: 1-5 points), and Originality (all works: 1-3 points). Artworks scoring 16 or higher become semifinalists, with up to 200 semifinal artworks selected. Following jury discussion, finalist artworks are selected for exhibition.

The exhibition will be displayed in the Wood Gallery at The Hyde Collection (April 18-May 17) and in the west lobby of Glens Falls Hospital (April 21-May 20). Submission deadline is February 2, 2026. Semifinalist notification is February 27, with drop-off on March 12-13. Finalist notification is March 27. The student and teacher opening reception is April 17, with the public reception and award ceremony on April 18. Due to a donor scholarship fund, all $2 per artwork student fees for 2026 are covered. Schools will be invoiced $35 submission fee in February.
