35th Annual All-Media Juried Art Exhibition

The Lancaster Museum of Art and History (MOAH) and MOAH:CEDAR announce the 35th Annual All-Media Juried Art Exhibition. This annual exhibition welcomes artists of all ages and experience levels from the Antelope Valley and the 5th Supervisorial District of Los Angeles County. This year includes two new categories: Community Coloring Book and Destination Lancaster Postcard, designed to encourage submissions of black and white line drawings, photographs and illustrations celebrating the community. Works submitted to these categories will be included in a MOAH-produced coloring book and official Destination Lancaster postcards, respectively.

The exhibition runs from Saturday, May 23 to Sunday, June 28, with a special closing reception on Saturday, June 27 from 6 to 8 p.m. The awards ceremony begins at 7 p.m., with over $1,000 in awards from the Lancaster Museum and Public Art Foundation and various sponsors. Jurors include artists Nathaniel Ancheta and April Bey, and art historian Betty Ann Brown. Visitors are encouraged to vote for their favorite artwork using #MOAHPeoplesChoice on Instagram, with the most-voted artwork receiving a cash award announced at the closing reception. Best of Exhibition winners will be considered for acquisition into the Museum's permanent collection.

Eligibility: Works must be completed within the last three years and not previously exhibited at MOAH or MOAH:CEDAR. All media are welcome, including photography, video, audio, painting, drawing, mixed media 2D, mixed media 3D, and clay. Artists 17 and under must have parental permission. Applicants must reside within the 5th Supervisorial District of Los Angeles County or within specified ZIP codes. Entry fee is $3.00 processing fee for the first entry; additional entries are $5.00 each. Only online submissions through callforentry.org are accepted. Artwork must be clean, dry, and ready for exhibition. All 2D works must be framed and wired with D-rings or eye hooks. Artwork must not exceed 48 inches in any dimension and must weigh less than 50 lbs for 3D work.
