About This Call

The Colored Pencil Society of America invites artists to submit original artwork created 100% in colored pencil to the 34th Annual International Exhibition, to be displayed at Yavapai College, Prescott gallery in Prescott, Arizona from June 21 - August 1, 2026.

Entry Requirements: Submit 1-3 digital images of original artwork completed during or after 2023 that has not been previously displayed in any CPSA International Exhibition. Artwork must be 100% colored pencil on a 2-dimensional, manufactured surface not altered by the artist. Use of other media or artist-prepared surfaces disqualifies the entry. Artwork must be solely the original concept and design of the submitting artist. Selection is limited to no more than one work per artist. Entry fee is $60.00 ($45.00 for CPSA members). Open to all artists 18 years or older, regardless of geographic location.

Awards and Notifications: More than $15,000 in cash awards are available, including a $5,000 cash award and CIPPY trophy for Best of Show. Accepted artists will be notified via email by May 1, 2026, with award winners notified by phone or email in early July. The juror is Erin Joyce, curator and scholar of contemporary art and Faculty Member at the Herberger Institute of Design and the Arts at Arizona State University. Selected artists are responsible for shipping artwork to and from the gallery and must commit to keeping artwork in the gallery for the full exhibition duration. A final in-person review of artwork will be conducted to ensure compliance with specifications and quality standards.
