The exhibition features contemporary quilt artists and runs July 7 through August 22, 2015. Art quilts accepted for exhibition will exemplify innovation in quilting and surface design techniques as well as excellence in artistic composition and craftsmanship. The Opening Reception is scheduled for Friday, July 10, 5-7 p.m. with the Awards Presentation at 6 p.m. Exhibition Jurors are Betty Busby, Louisa Smith, Vicki Carlson, and Ellen Martin. Awards Judges are Betty Busby and Louisa Smith.
Awards include: $1,000 Best of Show Award (presented by Machine Quilting Unlimited), $500 Prize for Creative Artistry, and $500 Prize for Creative Innovation. The entry fee is $30 for up to three entries. Entries must be of the artist's original design, completed after August 30, 2013. No student work or work created as the result of a class or workshop will be accepted. Accepted works must be available for the full Installation and Exhibition Period (June 22 through August 28, 2015), which includes installation, exhibition, and de-installation.
