About This Call

The Long Beach Island Foundation of the Arts & Sciences invites artists to participate in the 33rd Annual Foundation Arts Festival, a juried makers retail show held on Saturday, July 9, 2022 from 10am-5pm (with a rain date of Sunday, July 10) at 120 Long Beach Blvd, Loveladies, NJ. The festival will feature 80+ juried artists across multiple categories including ceramics, jewelry, painting, photography, sculpture, fiber, glass, wood, and many others. The Foundation seeks handmade, original work from seasoned and new artisans, as well as products designed by the artist and produced in small quantities within the continental U.S. All mediums are welcome.

Eligibility requirements include: work must be handmade with no commercially produced items, kits, or imported goods; all work must be original and created by or under the direction of the artist(s); jewelry must be hand-crafted with no more than 40% purchased components; artists must be 18 years or older; and artists must attend the entire festival with items matching the type and quality submitted for jurying. The entry fee is $25.00 (non-refundable). Accepted artists must submit booth fee payment by March 15, 2022. Two types of booth spaces are available: outdoor spaces (10' x 10' at $225 or 10' x 20' at $400) and indoor gallery spaces (10' x 10' at $350 or limited 8' x 6' at $295). Indoor space is limited and assigned on a first-come, first-served basis. Outdoor booths must withstand Northeast weather conditions with properly weighted canopies (minimum 40 pounds per leg). Demonstrations are supported and demo artists receive additional marketing. All participating Foundation Arts Festival vendors are automatically invited to participate in the Indoor Gallery Holiday Market Fest (November 19 - December 4). Submit 3-6 images of representative work online. Rolling applications for the next round should be submitted by May 30, 2022.
