32nd Annual International Exhibition

The Annual International Exhibition is a juried visual art competition organized by the Department of Art and Art History at The University of Texas at Tyler. Internationally known artists, curators, and scholars serve as jurors selecting works for exhibition. The Department purchases three to six works from the exhibition each year; purchased works are added to the permanent collection, which serves as an educational teaching resource and is exhibited throughout the UT Tyler main campus.

This competition is open to any artist over the age of 18 working in two-dimensional media. Paintings, drawings, prints, and photographs created in the last three years are welcome. Artists may submit up to three works for consideration for a non-refundable fee of $35. Entries must be submitted via CaFE (Call for Entries) as digital media only. Image specifications: JPEG format only, minimum 1920 pixels on the longest side, 72 ppi/dpi resolution, 5 MB maximum file size. Works must be professionally presented and ready for installation upon receipt. Framed works must use Plexiglass only; pieces with glass will not be accepted. Entries must weigh less than 50 pounds.

Key dates: Entry deadline November 18, 2016; notification of acceptance December 20, 2016; deadline for receipt of work January 6, 2017; exhibition opens January 17, 2017; reception and juror presentation February 2, 2017; exhibition closes March 3, 2017; return of works March 7-9, 2017. Shipped work should arrive between January 2-6. Hand delivered artworks may be brought in on January 6 between 9:00 am and 1:00 pm.
